Gibson Optics will work with customers to develop the optical and
mechanical system that best meets their requirements.

Custom optical design and layout (using
both an optical design program and a CAD program)
of multi-element optical mechanical systems. Gibson Optics will choose optical
elements from off the shelf catalogs whenever possible to reduce costs.
If cost is really critical, we can go off shore to reduce costs even
more.

Custom optical design of individual lens assemblies such as
F/Theta
lenses, projection lenses etc.

Optical breadboard layout (on Newport tables) of optical systems.
Alignment can be accomplished using a laser, or alignment telescope.

Basic testing of bread-boarded optical systems and lens assemblies
using reticles, or if necessary, an interferometer (it the system has
high enough performance to allow such). Measurement of the spot
size is also possible.

Transmission measurements.

Procurement of optical elements including developing specifications
and
drawings.

Coating specifications and procurement for lens elements, mirrors,
filters, beam-splitters, etc.

Mechanical layout and design
using CAD

Fabrication of prototype lens cells and mounts using CNC mill and
lathe, or use outside shops.

Alignment and test tooling development.

Alignment and test procedures for production assemblies.
